Barry Hargett is the President and Chief Investigator of The Hargett Agency, LLC. With over twenty years of experience in the investigations field, Barry is well-versed in a variety of investigative techniques and tactics. In addition to being a talented Investigator, Barry is a passionate traveler, proud father, and loving husband.
It’s safe to say that Barry Hargett‘s professional life has been fascinating. He started working as a private investigator in 2001 under the guidance of his childhood idol and close family friend, Tommy Savage. While growing up in Colorado, Barry Hargett always looked up to Mr. Savage and was fortunate enough to learn from one of the best in the business. Sadly, Tommy passed away unexpectedly and in 2003, Barry left the Rocky Mountain Region and took a position near the beach with Delta Investigations, becoming their primary field investigator for SW Florida. During this time, Barry focused on insurance defense investigations, which included surveilling individuals who were plaintiffs in workers’ compensation cases.
In 2007, Barry Hargett was offered an opportunity to assist with the expansion of Delta Investigations as it grew its operations to include the state of Georgia. Barry Hargett helped with this expansion, taking on more responsibilities, including further field investigations, assisting in growing the business by marketing Delta’s services to various third-party vendors, and more.
In 2010, it was time for another change for Barry Hargett. He was offered a position with Triad Investigations as their SE Regional Lead Investigator. His responsibilities included surveillance, witness statements, skip-tracing, etc. Barry opted to stay with Triad Investigations until they closed their doors in 2013.
After Triad Investigations closed, Barry Hargett began working with Command Investigations (2013). Based in Florida, the agency hired Barry as their Senior Field Investigator in Georgia. This eventually led to Barry becoming a Case Manager for the agency. This gave Barry even more responsibilities, such as overseeing daily operations for all of Georgia’s investigations.
Barry Hargett‘s time with Command Investigations gave him the experience and confidence to take the leap and form his own agency. In 2015, Barry founded The Hargett Agency. The agency started as a sole proprietorship but became an LLC in 2020. During this time, the company has grown to include several additional employees (one of whom is Barry’s wife).
The Hargett Agency specializes in Litigation Support Services. As such, Barry Hargett and his team have spent countless hours in and out of the courtroom supporting the industry’s top attorneys. On a more personal level, Barry Hargett is the proud father of two (sons) and husband to Sarah Hargett. He loves sharing his passion and hobbies with his children, which include traveling and sports. In particular, Barry has personally coached his children in soccer, basketball, and flag football.
